Hello, I'm Chris Satchell — most people call me Satch.
I design digital products people actually use.
Senior UX, UI and Product Designer based in Manchester. I take work from discovery to launch — research, design systems, responsive builds — working hand-in-hand with developers, 3D artists and post-production teams. AI-curious, community-minded, and always looking for a simpler way to do things.

A tool in the kit — never the driver.
Since my first Midjourney image I haven't stopped exploring AI across design, motion and development. It speeds up research and prototyping and strips out the repetitive work — but creative thinking, simplicity and good judgement still decide whether the result is any good.

The idea comes first. The software follows.
From traditional design tools to prototyping, animation, development and now AI — I'm always learning faster ways to work. But software is only there to bring the thinking to life.

Raised in rural Wales. Still care about it.
We're facing some of our biggest environmental challenges, and I want to help however I can. If you're working on something that protects or improves the environment and need creative, design or digital support, I'd love to hear from you.
Talk about a green projectSlightly random. Sometimes secretive.
In my spare time I start community projects that bring artists, creatives and local people together. I come up with an idea, get people involved and see where it leads — some have grown far beyond what I expected, which is half the fun.

I've worked with ShelterBox on their website and Seashell on their marketing. Even a modest piece of creative or digital work can make a real difference when it's helping the right organisation — if that's you, get in touch.
That's me. What are you working on?
Whether it's an app, a rebrand or a one-off piece of work, the quickest way to find out if I can help is a short call.
